Dr Joe McGirr opened his campaign office on Friday 4th March to the enthusiastic response of supporters and fans.
On a perfect Autumn day, the warm colours of Dr Joe's office radiated across the main street of Wagga Wagga. With balloons, music, great sandwiches, cake and slice, there was a real atmosphere celebration.
Dr McGirr in his speech highlighted the key issues for his campaign: a complete new Wagga Wagga Base Hospital built in the next four years and dynamic local leadership. As an illustration of the latter, Dr McGirr announced his support for Wagga Wagga to become a technology hub for Australia.
Work also began on collecting the 10,000 signatures needed for a petition to go to Parliament requesting a complete new WW Base Hospital
